This place is a Reno tradition. It's been around for forever, as the decor and the venerable edifice it inhabits will tell you. True to form for a downtown eatery, it's open at all hours. The burgers are big and juicy. The fries are kinda hit-or-miss, but they're not why you're here, are they? To address the elephant in the room, yes, this is the greasiest of greasy spoons. It's dark, smokey, and worn-down inside, and the outside-facing door opens directly into an otherwise darkened alley. If you have an empty stomach and a strong immune system, you have to eat here at least once.

The service was awesome but my steak was so tough I couldn't eat it. But the soup I had was good. They did take the steak off our bill so I can't complain.

Now this is old school Reno. Great food in the diner, cheap drinks in the bar. a d as great gaming area. FUN FUN FUN. Not fancy but really good.

So I had been here once before when I was drinking downtown years ago but haven't bothered to go back. And the be honest the food isn't that great. It basically food for people who are too drunk to care what they eat. The fries had seasoning and we're a bit salty. The burger was ok. And it was all too much for me to eat. It took me two days just to finish it.

Loved this place for 50 years. It's changed but still a value and still funky.
